About Me

My name is Punz. I’ve been tattooing since 1997, starting my journey as an apprentice at the original House of Ink in Hawai‘i. Tattooing runs deep in my Polynesian roots — it’s not just art, it’s a way of honoring identity, family, and culture through every line.

While I spent time in Japan learning traditional techniques, my foundation will always be Polynesian. The boldness, the meaning, the legacy — that’s what drives my work.

I’ve since brought House of Ink to Kentucky, where I continue to tattoo with the same purpose and pride. Now, I’m passing down what I’ve learned to my son, just like it was passed down to me — by hand, with respect, and through generations.

What Tattooing Means to Me

"Tattooing is more than just art to me — it’s connection. It’s a way to honor where we come from and carry that pride with us every day. In Polynesian and Japanese culture, tattoos tell stories, mark milestones, and hold deep spiritual meaning. That’s the kind of work I aim to do — something that lasts, not just on your skin, but in your life."

Ink with meaning. Art with soul.

Every piece I create carries a story, a spirit, and a purpose.
